FLDOE Statement of Status of Eligibility
Students must apply for a Florida teaching certificate with the Florida Department of Education (FLDOE) if they do not already have a Statement of Status of Eligibility. Applying is easy and outlined in four steps on the Florida Department of Education Teaching Certification Steps webpage. The application fee is $75.00 for each subject area in which applicants intend to be certified. Once submitted, the application will be evaluated for eligibility.
The applicant’s FLDOE Official Statement of Status of Eligibility must state “You are Eligible for a Florida Educator’s Certificate” in order to be admitted into PHSC’s EPI program.
A student also may add a subject to a valid Florida Temporary Certificate.
Note: It may take six to eight weeks to receive a Statement of Status of Eligibility from the Florida Department of Education.
